CDS full name is Combined Defence Service. It is the national-level competitive exam for placement in the Indian military, Officers Training Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, and Indian Naval Academy. CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSE). CDS follows the rules and regulations for conducting the entire process. It is mainly taken two times a year. Generally CDS I exam is organized in Feb & CDS II is carried out in September to November. Eligible applicants are chosen based on performances in the CDS paper-based Exam followed by SSB Interview. The competitor is only validated if he is a resident of India or Bhutan or Nepal or Tibetan who came over to India before 1962 to permanently settle in India and owns an eligibility certificate declared by the government of India. The age limit for unmarried male candidates for the Indian Military Academy (IMA) is between 19 to 24 years and unmarried.
