CDS stands for Combined Defence Services, and it provides graduates with a fantastic opportunity to serve in the Indian Tri-Defense Services – Army, Navy, and Air Force. This CDS exam is held twice a year, in February and September or November, by the UPSC. Candidates must pass a written exam, a ssb interview, and a medical fitness test as part of the selection process. The two types of commissions offered through cds are permanent commissions (IMA, INA, and AFA) and short service commissions (IMA, INA, and AFA) (OTA).
